No Wine Down Wednesdays for me this month...
July 4, 2018

I know. Sad trombone, right? Not exactly.
I’ve made the conscious choice to forego wine in July to raise funds for cancer support organisations.

It’s a fun challenge when you enjoy your wine (especially on Wednesday evenings!). But if it’s not all fun for you to lose the booze this month then that’s a good thing, because cancer isn’t fun either.
In July, an average of 11,526 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer. That means 11,526 people who would probably love to have “ditching wine” as their biggest concern for a month.
So consider going dry this July. Or donate to someone who has. (You can even purchase them a “golden ticket” which allows them to enjoy a drink at some point throughout the month - appropriate events are acceptable, right?)
Having a month off alcohol can have great health benefits: better sleep, more energy and no hangovers! So going dry is not only helping others but helping yourself too.
Here’s to resuming Wine Down Wednesdays in August! 🍷
